(a) Is he aware that after the preceding Presidential Election, a former minister who obtained a defender vehicle, from Janatha Estate Development Board bearing the registered number GB-2865, for three months’ short term use, had used it for 06 years illegally with another former minister and had dumped only the chassis, in the State Entrepreneurship Development Ministry premises which brought on a recovery vehicle, without informing anyone, removing 4 wheels and many other parts?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) the name of the Minister in whose name the defender, bearing the registered number GB-2865 had been officially released by the Ministry of Plantation Industries;
(ii) of the period of illegal use;
(iii) of the measures that had been taken in the institutional level;
(iv) of the loss incurred due to the removal of the parts of aforesaid vehicle;
(v) of the measures that had been taken by the Janatha Estate Development Board to recover the loss;
(vi) of the current progress of the investigations of Criminal Investigation Department, on the criminal misuse of public property; and

(a) Is he aware that the government incurred a loss of Rs. 24 million when the State Trading (General) Corporation ordered school uniform material from China in 2011 violating the cabinet approval?
(i) the approved quantity of school uniforms as per the cabinet decision dated 02.11.2010;
(ii) the quantity of uniform material that have been obtained exceeding the approved quantity and the value of it;
(iii) the loss incurred by the government due to the delay in the importation of school uniform material; and
(iv) the courses of action taken against the persons responsible for the aforesaid loss?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) the reasons to reject the tender with the lowest price that was submitted to the Tender Board in purchasing the aforesaid uniform material;
(ii) the loss incurred by the government by selecting the tender with the second lowest price;
(iii) the amount of money spent for the officers in the Tender Board to visit China;
(iv) the value of the cloths that were not received to the stores as at 30.09.2012; and
(v) the courses of action that were taken in this regard?

(i) of the reason for printing 5,000,000 almanacs to be distributed among 1,800,000 families of Samurdhi beneficiaries for the year 2015;
(ii) of the person in authority who has approved the particular expenditure;
(iii) whether the aforesaid person is vested with the authority to approve that expenditure;
(iv) of the institution that undertook the printing of these 5,000,000 almanacs; and
(v) whether a procurement procedure has been followed for that purpose?

(i) of the progress of the investigation conducted by the FCID in relation to the misappropriation of money which has incurred owing to the utilization of moneys that remained in the Divineguma Fund for the election promotion activities of their party;

(iii) if so, of the disciplinary action taken at that inquiry; and

(iii) whether tender procedures were followed to spend such a large sum of money for a conference;
(iv) whether an investigation has been conducted at the department level with regard to the said misappropriation of funds; and
(v) if so, the inferences of that investigation?
(i) the current situation of the investigations conducted by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on the misappropriation of aforesaid funds;

(ii) under the authoritative power of which politician has this “Maheshwari Foundation” which obtained daily collections from the lorry owners amidst their serious discontentment, functioned; and

(i) of the amount of money which has been daily collected from the lorries by issuing receipts during the years 2010 to 2014;
(ii) whether the “Maheshwari Foundation” was supervised by a particular public institution; and

(ii) the number of candidates who passed, and failed that examination, separately;
(iii) whether all those who passed that examination have been awarded appointments; and

(i) the reasons for raising the cut-off mark of 40 for each subject, to 50, when a methodology for all internal promotions of the Bank of Ceylon in terms of circular දුර/2002 has been specified;
(ii) whether the candidates have been informed of this in advance;
(iii) whether he admits the fact that this examination has been conducted on an accepted methodology;
(iv) the reasons for not granting an opportunity to rescrutinize the results, after it took five months to release the results; and
